Second infographic video

Here’s my second process of my video of Eddie’s Droolin’ World, and from I said earlier I’m not done with it just yet, there’s a few things I’m trying to fix up, but other than that I’m proud of what I made here, I’m still depicting whether I should add music to it.

  1. Matt,
this is very funny! You are starting to pay attention to your visuals. The bone is small and therefore not competing with your dog.
You have a very strong graphic sense – Your colors are bold and expressive.
The white shapes coming in at the top left that make the paw and then the speech bubble with the text is very interesting and adds to the animation. – but you need to watch your placement of the text in the white space. Try to keep the text away from the edges – Connect the lines by bringing them closer and change the type size depending on their importance – a bit smaller – this will also create heirarchy – what is more important the dog heas or the text introduction?
there is a good variety of movement added with the hand waving.
I think the bone is now too far from the hand – we need to visually link them – perhaps the hand should stop a bit further towards the right so the bone can fall in the middle.
Also does the text in the bone have to be so big.
Watch your timing. The aniation can be a bit quicker so you can have more information. Do you need all the time between 5 seconds and 11 seconds? This transition can be quicker.
Your dog animations are a good start.
Play with your color – the back ground colors changin can add to the dogs personality
Also your text is competing with the actual dog imagery. The way you animated them is descriptive but you can add a bit more color or value in the dogs. Does the badass dog have to be one flat grey in his entire body – perhaps you can add a few shades of grey.
Your text style changes but the color is wrong in the lighter dogs – look at tillen squares and see if you can find good matching colors.

The size of the dog on the page is also important – badass could be bigger – KEEP GOing and add more types of dogs.
Also show us your process – this is your weekest part – show how you drew them in other programs – splitting them up into layers etc. – screenshot the – command/ shift /4
